The South – East – Water Holding manages a large water reservoir in England.

In the yearly report 2003/2004 of the Holding the investment for algae control with the help of ultra sound devices of DR was mentioned. This was a part of ISO-certification as per ISO 14001.

As a result it was determined that not only the algae clearly reduced (up to almost full), but more than 60,000 English Pound (approx. 88,750 Euro) were saved on operating costs for the Reservoir.

6 Ultra sound devices were installed, which sufficiently treated the whole Reservoir.

Following economic and environment friendly advantages resulted through DR Sonic:

Integrated uninterrupted usage of Reservoir water through similar quality.  That is how no necessity to feed in extra fresh water.
Pump processes independent of river water Less application of chemicals, less water processing costs Less cleaning expenditure of the filter installations.
Less water waste through wash processes
less accumulation of mud of surface and underground water as well as mud accumulation in the installation
Thus less waste disposal costs
Less organic load
Less quantity of organic Carbon in allocator – Duct system
Less addition of chlorine and thus less purchase of chemicals
Better Control of chemical treatment
Less operating disturbances through otherwise necessary water processing
Unprocessed water in essentially better and continued quality
Less load of poison
Less odor load
Drastic reduction of largest values. In a comparison of the year 1997 to 2003 the following changes could be very clearly determined.
Year  Counted cells Chlorophyll count
1997 14000000 50000
2003 3500 83

The extent of the savings through the environment friendly Aquasonic-devices was stated in the Annual Report with 60,000.00 Pound.
